Robert Catinella
Double Bass
About
I'm a Solo Double Bassist originating from Long Island NY. I studied at Shenandoah Conservatory for my undergraduate degree, and am now working on my Master's degree. I typically enjoy playing in a solo context, and feel that I can bring a unique approach to classical repertoire and progressive newer works for Double Bass.
Music
I typically enjoy playing works by Latin and South American composers such as Piazzolla and Ginastera. I have also played a number of modern works by Double Bassist and Composer Andrés Martin (based out of Tijuana, Mexico).
As far as standard repertoire goes, I greatly enjoy playing works by Bach, Schubert, Dvorak, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky. This includes symphonies, chamber works, solo works, and transcriptions.
