Duo 39 comprises pianist Julian Garvue and Clarinetist Madison Freed, who met while attending the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. The two have have worked together in a diverse range of venues from elementary school classrooms to state of the art concert halls.
Both Madison and Julian are educators as well as performers, and worked as teaching artists through ArtistYear, America's first national service program dedicated exclusively to the arts. .
Duo 39 is passionate about providing accessible, enjoyable, and high quality classical music to diverse audiences. As they continue to grow together, they hope to remain connected to education and their local communities in order to share their love of music with
