About

The Ecco Chamber Ensemble—soprano Stacey Mastrian, flutist Sarah Bassingthwaighte, and classical guitarist Mark Hilliard Wilson—works to build concerts around the intersection of art and social change. Our focus is on programming classical music from all over the world and from different periods that sheds light on issues of our time—including homelessness, environmental problems, violence, our interaction with technology, and music's profound impact on our education and on our well-being—and provokes us to consider our common humanity. We came together in the summer of 2016, and as performers and teachers we have been across the U.S. and in Canada, England, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Russia, and Spain.
