The Jong-ro Trio
Piano trio
About
The Jong-Ro Trio has been together for almost an year and have performed works ranging from the classical to contemporary era. The trio performed the Wuorinen Piano Trio in Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at the Juilliard School for the Focus Festival 2016 in February and is scheduled to premiere a contemporary work at Alice Tully Hall in April. Asides from their fervent passion for modern and contemporary works, the trio also loves exploring the traditional repertoire. Last December, they performed a recital of the well-known Beethoven Ghost Trio paired with the very romantic Arensky d minor Piano Trio. All members of the group have a particular love for Brahms (whether it be solo, symphonic, or chamber), and are in the progress of adding his works to their repertoire. In addition to their consensual appreciation for Brahms, the trio also enjoys fine-dining and exploring new restaurants to indulge in!
