About
Hello!
I play historical keyboard instruments. Not because I'm part of the Addams family, but because the music of Bach, Mozart and Handel just sounds better on the instruments they knew and played. If you're not sure what I mean, go to youtube and find a Bach piece, and listen to it played on piano. Then find the same piece played on a harpsichord. It's a whole different world.
I play with Boston's best early music ensembles, such as the Handel and Haydn Society, Emmanuel Music and Cambridge Concentus. I've set up this page as a soloist, but I'm always happy to invite colleagues to play alongside me, if you're interested in period-instrument chamber music.
Music
My repertoire is predominantly baroque, so expect lots of Bach, Handel, Purcell, Scarlatti, Rameau, and their contemporaries. I also play a good deal of early classical music, such as Haydn, C.P.E. Bach and Mozart. On the earlier end, I go as far back as Frescobaldi, Byrd and Sweelinck.
