About
I am ”Dr. Pianist"on a mission to promote music as a healing agent. I am primarily a concertizing pianist, but I also work with neuroscientists to quantify the benefit of music, and give lectures-concerts and facilitate workshops as well. Communal musical experience reminds us that what we share is greater than our differences. I want to use Groupmuse as a platform to deliver a more interactive participatory musical experience, defying the traditional ritualized concert format. Especially in a time like this, music/art/creativity is an easily accessible resource that can help us savor the little pleasures in life, grounding us in our senses. I look forward to playing for you, and getting to know your through our shared musical experience.

Music
Although my general repertoire covers a wide range from Pre-Bach to living composers, right now, I would like to engage my audience in repertoire that would be more familiar to them, and show them how they may proactively engage in the practice of music to relieve tension and stress and ground themselves in their sensory pleasures that helps us see the glass-half-full more easily. I will be playing excerpts from Bach's Goldberg Variations, Debussy's old-time favorites like Arabesque and Clair de Lune, and some Liszt song transcriptions, like Ave Maria, Widmung, and Liebstraum.
