Formed in New York City by Irish guitarist Damien Kelly and American flutist Jessica Lipstone, Redbrick Duo brings a fresh approach to the guitar/flute combo. Redbrick Duo creates a welcoming and casual environment through their performances, enticing audiences of all musical tastes with their sheer virtuosity and musical sensitivity. The duo encourages active listening in their performance by interacting with their audience. While favoring the melodic familiarity of the older classical/romantic style, the duo premieres new works and performs popular repertoire, creating a modern approach to the genre. Bringing back the idea of the salon recital, the duo entertains hosts and guests by providing a more personal concert in the comfort of one’s own home. Redbrick Duo have played throughout the United States and Ireland. Recent highlights include a private concert for the EU Ambassador at his residence in Washington DC, recital at the American Irish Historical Society on Fifth Avenue and playing at the Kaleidoscope concert series in Dublin, Ireland. Their self titled debut album is now on iTunes and CD Baby.
