trio with tenor, piano, and guitar
About
The trio Consists of New England Conservatory Graduates and students: tenor, Austin Burns, pianist, Stephanie Mao, and guitarist Jonas Kublickas. The name Sole Durato means "Setting Sun" in Italian, the name brings to mind Neapolitan Songs, in which the group specializes and is an allusion to one of the most famous Neapolitan songs, "O Sole Mio" by Eduardo di Capua.
Austin recently earned his Master's degree in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory where he studied under Tenor, Bradley Williams. He earned his undergraduate degree in Composition from LaGrange College. In addition to his teaching jobs Austin also serves as the tenor section leader at the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Lexington and is a frequent performer with Opera On Tap, an organization which seeks to bring classical music to public spaces such as bars and restaurants. His latest operatic roles include Chevalier in Dialogue of the Carmelites and Tamino in The Magic Flute.
