Concerto Club
Soloists
About
Our members earn their way into the club by performing a solo concerto in public at a level that meets our standards. We enjoy practicing, sounding good, taking risks, and being badasses.
The rep is mainly drawn from the heyday of the string concerto, the late Baroque period. We play a lot of Vivaldi, Bach, Telemann, that sort of thing. We also play composers from other periods, like Arvo Pärt and Allessandro Rolla.
When we play together we form an ensemble and take turns being the soloist. The small version of the ensemble is 6-7 players.
