Marvento
Flute and Piano Duo
About
Weronika and Elizabeth believe that engaging with music is essential, transformative, and joyful. Through Marvento Duo’s innovative performances and projects, they bring meaningful chamber music experiences to diverse audiences, connecting people with each other.
Their current program “Influential Women” explores music written by women composers and those they influenced. Past programs have included “Twenty-Somethings” and "Translations." They are regular performers on the Multiverse Concert Series, which combines science lectures and performances. Past engagements include workshops for graduate students at MIT, Rockport Music, and St. Paul’s Choir School as well as Groupmuse house concerts, the Faculty Concert Series, and Neighborhood Concert Series at local community music schools.
Marvento Duo was founded in 2013. They attended Lincoln Center’s Teaching Artist Development Labs together and are Dalcroze practitioners, which influences Marvento’s mission and activities.
Music
Classical music for flute and piano - ranging from the 1700s until modern day living composers. We often borrow from the violin and piano repertoire and love to find connections and themes in our concert programs.
