The York Street Duo was formed to showcase the unique combination between the classical guitar and violin. Members Alejandro Olson (guitar) and Mary Margaret Neel (violin) met at the Schwob School of Music in Columbus, GA and currently reside at the University of Denver in Denver, CO. Alejandro Olson is a native of San Diego, CA and has participated in numerous festivals and competitions across the United States, Canada, and Italy. Mary Margaret Neel is from Chickamauga, GA and has performed with orchestras in Georgia, Colorado, and China. The York Street Duo has performed concerts, recitals, and private events for a chapter of the Colorado Symphony Guild.
