About
I'm a graduate of Yale university School of Music and of London Royal Academy of Music. I love to create recital programmes around a particular theme, be it a selection of works from one particular country/school/culture, or a composer's influences, or an extra-musical idea, like "how people change", comparing composers' early and late works. My repertoire is wide ranging, and I am constantly adding to it and searching for works that may not be the most well-known but that speak clearly and meaningfully. Bach to Messiaen, Chopin to Carter, Beethoven to Ades.
Most of the time, I perform as a recitalist, in chamber groups and as a soloist with orchestras. But I particularly love developing closer relationships with my audiences, having a conversation, attempting to talk about music. That's why house concerts have such an appeal to me.
