Chuxuejie Zhang is a young, passionate violinist with great ambition. She believes good musicians not only play music with their hands but also with their heart.
Chuxuejie Zhang began her violin studies at the age of four, studying with Professor Xu Lv at the attached high school of the Central Conservatory of Music in China. During her education at the Central Conservatory, she participated in the China Youth Chamber Music Group and was a member of the China Youth Symphony Orchestra, the only national youth orchestra in China.
Chuxuejie Zhang was a former student of Wei he who is now the Artistic Director and Dean of The Tianjin Juilliard School. Ms. Zhang currently studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she recently won the 2019 low string competition. She is pursuing her Bachelor of Music Degree in Viola Performance with Professor Jay Yunjie Liu while also learning chamber music with other professors in SFCM.
