Classical Guitar
About
I have worked for the better part of my life on building the skills to play the classical guitar, and to share music with audiences of all ages and musical preferences. I have a Bachelors degree in music performance from Buffalo State College in Buffalo New York, a Masters of Music degree from the University of Southern California, A Professional Studies Diploma from the San Francisco Conservatory, and I am currently earning my Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Soutgern California. I play all eras of repertoire from Renaissance to 21st c., but my personal favorite is modern music from the 20th c. onward. My current program contains a Renaissance piece by John Dowland, 2 Romantic pieces by Joaquin Malats and Manuel Ponce, and 3 modern pieces varying from 12 tone to neo Baroque. I have played many concerts throughout the country for a variety of audiences and organizations including well informed classical music fans, all the way to concerts for groups of kids. I can offer a concert with a varied program that has pieces that can be enjoyed by all, information on the pieces, and a very thoughtful and musical performance.
