About
A native of Rochester, New York, Jessica Chen is a dedicated and accomplished violinist, committed to connecting with audiences through rich and unique musical experiences. Jessica has performed orchestral, chamber, and new music at festivals including Brevard Music Center, Round Top Festival Institute, Meadowmount School of Music, Scotia Festival of Music, and Tuscia Operafestival. Jessica has also served as assistant concertmaster of the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, Jessica has served as a performer and teaching artist with the renowned Very Young Composers program, helping bring to life and premiering dozens of students’ compositions.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Music from Ithaca College (Ithaca, New York) in violin performance and music education. At Ithaca College, she performed with the Symphony Orchestra, which garnered multiple ASCAP Adventurous Programming awards and played in venues such as Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City. Currently, Jessica is pursuing her master’s degree in violin performance at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Jessica enjoys playing compositions by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Dvorak, Brahms, Prokofiev, and Shostakovich.
