About

Israeli-American violinist, Leerone Hakami, started begging her parents for violin lessons at age two, and managed to convince them by at age 5. Leerone earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in violin performance at The Juilliard School, studying with Lewis Kaplan. Her performance highlights include soloing with the NY Concerti Sinfonietta in Carnegie Hall, soloing with the Vermont Mozart Festival Orchestra, and performing with her quartet in Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall. She was also recently heard on NY’s Classical Music Radio Station this past February. Leerone co-founded and teaches violin with West Amadeus Music Studio, a premier provider of violin, piano, and guitar lessons in NYC.

Music

I am classically trained, and can play solo, with a string ensemble, or with my piano duo partner. I am also very well versed in klezmer. Some works I love playing include Roxanna Panufnik's Hora Bessarabia, Ravel's Tzigane, Paganini Caprice 24, Bach's Chaconne, and much much more.
