About
Ms.Clara Lee, born in Seoul, South Korea, began her piano studies at the age of 6. She has received numerous awards throughout her early years in Korea. After attending the prestigious Yewon School of the Arts, she moved to the United States to continue her music studies in 2006. As an active solo performer and an award recipient of many scholarship foundations, she was invited to play at the 7th Annual Beethovenfest at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara. She has participated in Cassalmaggiore Music Festival in Italy and master classes with renowned pianists such as Jonathan Biss, Ting Zhou, and Ory Shihor. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Oberlin Conservatory and Master of Music from San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Her primary teachers include Yoonju Oh, Hee-Kyung Juhn, Paul Berkowitz, Sedmara Rutstein, Monique Duphil, Mack McCray and Yoshi Nagai. She currently teaches piano and collaborates with other musicians in the bay area. She enjoys working and sharing her musical experiences with students of all ages. When she is not engaged with music, she loves traveling and exploring different cultures around the world.
