About

As a violinist specializing in historical performance, I am fascinated by the process of learning about life and music-making in the past, and using that knowledge to create new, inspiring and curiosity-sparking concert experiences for listeners today.

Music

I love playing repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries, especially chamber music. I love the unique tone colors of period instruments, and the challenge of communicating the spirit of a particular time and place through music - from the drama and raw intensity of early 17th c. Italian repertoire, to the subtlety and nuance of French baroque music. My favorite composers at the moment include Biber, J. S. Bach, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Matteis and Uccellini.
