About
WordSong creates public conversation about intuitive musical understanding, and aspires to reconnect musicians and audiences through shared, active, artistic experiences, as well as develop a new and diverse community of engaged and inspired listeners and music-makers.
Music
In its 9-year history WordSong has produced 11 Forum series and various concerts based on texts as diverse as William Blake’s “The Tyger” and Langston Hughes’s “Harlem”. We have presented over 50 performances throughout New England, as well as in New York, Minneapolis, and Washington, DC, and as far away as Vancouver, BC, and Bulgaria, premiering over 50 new works by living composers for an audience of over 2000.
