About

Opera on the Spot is an operatic performance troupe performing in and around the Bay Area. We are a talented group of young, classically trained singers embarking on a professional career in Opera. With no set venue, we choose less conventional places for performances, including bars, restaurants, and community spaces.

Opera on the Spot is comprised of young, professional Bay Area singers who create their own performances, specific to each venue. Most singers are either recent graduates of the San Francisco Conservatory or other prestigious conservatories around the States.

By taking opera out of the opera houses and concert halls, we hope to make opera more accessible to the people of San Francisco, exposing and educating those who are less familiar with the art form.
