About

I did my Bachelors in Solo Piano at University of Belgrade in Serbia. After that I specialized in Chamber Music and played a lot of piano duo repertoire. I came to USA in 2010 to study Masters in Collaborative Piano focusing on vocal repertoire at Mannes College The New School for Music. Then I continued to broaden my accompanist repertoire with both instruments and voices through Post-Graduate Fellowship at Bard College Conservatory and finally I am now a Doctoral Candidate at University of Maryland, Specializing in non standard chamber ensembles, including the ones with voice. I moved to LA because I got a pianist position at LA Opera where I am in the Young Artist Program, preparing opera productions and working with Placido Domingo, James Conlon and the artists that come it.

I love new music. I am a pianist of Contemporaneous ensemble in NYC and I have been premiering lots of works with them since 2012.

I am also a vocalist. I studied classical and jazz singing for many years. I sing in professional choirs and I am lucky to get more and more solo opportunities with them.

I am also a dancer of Bulgarian Folk and I love their music and song since it is so similar to Serbian. I had a vocal trio in Washington DC that was doing Eastern European singing just for fun.

Music

Does Messiaen count? He is my favorite composer. :) As a collaborative pianist I play lots of different musical styles. So yes, anything from rennaissance to today is in my repertoire. Or if not, it will be in a second, since I am trained to learn very quickly. I love to sing and play rennaissance music, any romantic lieder or French art song, Spanish and Russian songs which are gorgeous, numerous song cycles by many different composers. I play Debussy, Ravel, Faure piano duo music and their instrumental works with piano, Mozart Kegelstatt Trio and Violin Sonatas, Brahms Gypsy Songs, Two Songs for Alto, Viola and Piano, Quartet in g-minor (with the Gypsy Rondo), some of the Poulenc instrumental works, lots of piecess for brass or woodwinds with piano, all songs by Duparc that are just out of this world, Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time written while being in a concentration camp during WW2, and not to forget: any of the operatic hits - arias and ensembles! This is just a glimpse of my favorite repertoire but it only keeps expanding. I love taking new requests and adding new pieces to it, so nothing is impossible.
