About

Artemis is a treble-voice chamber ensemble based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. Its members are Bethany Battafarano, Mandy Goldberg, Tara Loeper, Elizabeth Roddy, Elizabeth Windnagel, Tessa Vigoren, and Alia Jeraj. Artemis performs a wide variety of music, from Gregorian chant to Irish and Bulgarian folk tunes to contemporary classical works by such icons as Meredith Monk and Steve Reich. The group has performed at Studio Z, The Guthrie Theater, The Bedlam Theater, Northern Voice Festival, Augsburg College, Northern Spark, Punk Ass Classical, Jazz Central Studios, The Cedar Cultural Center, and The Baroque Room. Currently, Artemis is commissioned by 113 Composer's Collective to perform a full set of contemporary works by such composers as Baca Lobera and Lachenmann. Artemis is also commissioned by composer Catherine Dalton for "Bluets", a multi-media performance with choir, dancers, amped instruments, and projection.
