Hello, my name is Rafael. I have a BM in classical oboe performance from New England Conservatory, and am currently working on a masters in the Contemporary Improvisation. Currently most of what I do is play with the whimsy-pop band Nosy Mangabe. However, I am also developing a singer-songwriter set and have quite a bit of experience with chamber music, orchestra music, folk choral music from around the world, and Klezmer. My original music tends to involve accompaniment on violin or piano as well as oboe grooves, hooks, and haunting melodies.
