About

Hello, my name is Rachel and I'm an oboist from California (soon to be based in Montreal)!

I graduated with my M.M. in oboe performance from University of Arizona, where I played with the Fred Fox Graduate Wind Quintet. Shortly after, I spent four months as acting associate principal oboe and english horn of the Thailand Philharmonic. I love to travel and play, and have played as far away as China, Thailand, and Mexico!

I'll be driving with my friend and colleague Ryan McGaughey east across the country (I will starting my doctoral degree at McGill and he will be starting his master's at Eastman), and I'm currently hatching a plan for us to play our way across the country. Looks like we'll be stopping in Reno, Salt Lake City, Denver, Kansas City, and Chicago, so if you live in any of those places and would like to host our performance, don't hesitate to send a message!
