The Harpoons create an eclectic and enjoyable concert by delving into many styles of music. Performing pieces from the Baroque, Classical, and 20th century they cover all the periods of classical music. They also spice up the evening's repertoire by interspersing jazz Ballads, arrangements of popular songs, and traditional Irish folk tunes; creating an engaging performance for ALL audiences.

Erin Irvine has been a professional bassoonist in the Bay Area for the last 10 years. She has performed with the SF Symphony, Ballet, and Opera along with almost every other orchestra in the region. She has been the bassoon professor at UCSC since 2009. She received an BA from UCLA, and an MM from Rice University.

Jessica Schaeffer is also a successful musician in the Bay area. She enjoys a diverse career; performing in orchestras, weddings, and improvising with electronics. She received her formal musical education attending world-renowned institutions including Interlochen Center for the Arts, Aspen Music Festival, and Northwestern University where she earned a B.M. in Harp Performance.
