Nora Krohn
Viola
About
I'm a conservatory-trained violist with additional background in language and literature, and I love bringing the beauty of the string family's middle voice to appreciative audiences near and far! I play classical works ranging from the baroque to the ultra-contemporary, usually with piano. I strive to find unifying themes for all my programs, and sometimes drawing on poetry or art for inspiration. I love engaging with audiences in casual, intimate settings that foster conversation and ease.
Since September 2015, I have had the distinct pleasure of working with collaborative pianist Jad Bernardo, who is on the faculty of Adelphi University.
Music
Recent programs include works by Bach, Brahms, Clarke, Pärt, de Falla, Kenji Bunch, Bartók, and Takemitsu.
