About
I was born in England and studied the piano at Trinity College of Music in London. I was awarded the ARCM Diploma with honors from the Royal College of Music. I have studied with some world famous concert pianists and played in the masterclasses of Jorge Bolet and Louis Kenter. In 2012 I won an international piano competition sponsored by the Pianist Magazine and Yamaha UK, in Manchester England, and was invited back to play a piano recital and a concerto performance (1st movement of Chopin's 2nd piano concerto) with the Manchester Camerata orchestra. I have been a finalist in competitions in Washington DC, Colorado Springs, and Warsaw Poland. I have played recitals in Paris France, Nice France, Munich Germany (at the Gasteig), Warsaw Poland, Yokohama Japan, St. Petersburg Russia, Buenos Aires Argentina, Budapest Hungary, Israel and in the UK and USA. I have played concertos with the Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra (Liszt 1st concerto), and first movements of the Rachmaninoff 1st and 3rd piano concerti with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
I love playing recitals for audiences, both in large concert halls, and in smaller venues such as in someone's home. I also enjoy chamber music very much and I am hoping to meet other musicians through Groupmuse so I can team up with them and have more opportunities to play piano duos, trios, quartets, and quintets.
I teach piano in Northborough, give concerts in the USA and around the world, and play in competitions and festivals. I am the Founder and President of the Boston Piano Amateurs Association which since 2001 arranges an international piano competition in Boston every two years for highly talented amateur pianists.
Music
I have an extensive repertoire of solo piano music by composers including Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Grieg, Faure, Schumann, Brahms, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, Ravel, Bach, Mayerl, Joplin etc. I would be glad to give a solo piano recital.
I would like to team up with other Groupmuse musicians to play chamber music including Schubert's Trout Quintet, Schumann Piano Quintet, Mendelssohn's Trio in D minor, Prokofiev Overture on Hebrew Themes, Schubert Piano Trios, Rachmaninoff Cello Sonata, Schumann Fantasy Pieces for cello or clarinet, Sonata for Piano and Violin by Cesar Franck, piano and violin pieces by Fritz Kreisler etc.
