About
Korean-American cellist Kenny Lee has won top prizes at the Hudson Valley String Competition, New York International Artists Association Competition, Borromeo Guest Artist Award Competition, Eastman School of Music Concerto Competition, and New England Conservatory Honors Chamber Music Competition. As a recitalist and chamber musician, he has appeared in Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall and Boston’s Jordan Hall. He has performed concertos with the Eastman Philharmonia, the Eugene Symphony, and the Eugene Youth Symphony. Festival appearances include Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, Piatigorsky International Cello Festival, and Holland International Music Sessions. His former teachers include Paul Katz, Steven Doane, Lluis Claret, Hans Jensen, and Steven Pologe. Kenny is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the New England Conservatory, under the tutelage of Laurence Lesser.
