About
I live in San Francisco, but I’m originally from Fargo, North Dakota. I began playing the violin when I was 6 years old. Now I’m in my final year of graduate studies in violin performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in violin performance from the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities.
My major teachers are Sally O’Reilly and Wei He. I’ve also worked with Yair Kless, Jonathan Gilbert, and Benjamin Sung. I’ve performed in masterclasses led by Midori, James Buswell, Wenzhou Li, and Jonathan Magness. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I was named an Artistic Ambassador by the Minnesota Music Teachers Association. This distinction included a series of performances and presentations at several schools in Minnesota.
I have substantial solo, chamber (small ensemble), and orchestral performance experience. I have played a variety of gigs, including weddings, church services, music/educational presentations to younger students, a rock concert with a backup orchestra, and a performance in a TedX presentation.
