Palaver Strings presents selections from their latest album A Change Is Gonna Come, featuring acclaimed jazz vocalist Farayi Malek and Grammy-nominated tenor Nicholas Phan. This program celebrates the rich legacy of American protest songs, including iconic songs by Bob Dylan, Sam Cooke, and Pete Seeger and a new commission by Errollyn Wallen. Spanning genres, eras, and social movements, A Change Is Gonna Come provokes conversation, confronts the past and present, and celebrates the act of protest as one of humanity’s most precious rights.
