“Song and Dance” shares a collection of pieces that explore movement, energy, and emotion as the driving forces of human nature - all in different ways. In “Vez,” for instance, a constant propelling rhythm serves as a trait of traditional Balkan folk music while in “Seven” it illustrates the powerful emotions we all felt during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this program you will hear ground bass, strumming, and even a little bit of shouting.
