I will be presenting ambient, meditative piano music also original compositions which are fusion of Armenian avant-garde folk, jazz and impressionistic colors, some compositions are very meditative and ambient, some are rhythmic filled with ancient Armenian colors.

Bio
Lucy Khanyan is a pianist, composer, who composes and plays a fusion of contemporary Armenian avant-garde folk and world elements incorporating Jazz, impressionistic, surreal colors and multi instrumental approach .
Born in Yerevan, Armenia; lives in the United States ,Los Angeles . Lucy Khanyan has received her classical education in Armenia, she is mainly self-taught , later on she presented herself with original compositions .
Lucy Khanyan has released several albums and currently is active as a performer , creator and collaborator . Collaborating with Tigrane Kazayan (oud), Paul Livingston (sitar), Hayk Karoi Karapetyan , Movses Ebejyan and many more ….. and currently is active as a performer , creator and collaborator.
In her homeland, Lucy Khanyan founded several projects that are active in Los Angeles , the main ones being the Lucy Khanyan Ethno Jazz Trio (Bass, Drums, Keys)and the Lucy Khanyan Avant Garde Folk Orchestra (Piano, ,Kanon, Blul ,Shvi, Oud, Contrabass, Santur, Percussion instruments) .
His first album "Vision" was released in 2014, which consists of original compositions in the ethno-jazz style in Los Angeles , and she continues to perform this album with his trio till now.
In 2020, the album "Ābsentia" and "was released with special instrumentation: kanon, blul, cello, piano, as well as another album with this arrangement , “Komitas, through the eyes of the Lucy Khanian Quartet". Another great electro-acoustic album called "PERSPektiV" was later released through the collaboration of talented artists. She continues her creative endeavor and has released many EPs over the years.
Some of her compositions are included in the Armenian Jazz Real Book called “Jazzadaran” . Besides her own projects Lucy Khanyan has been collaborating with other artists performing and recording .She has been collaborating with Tigrane Kazazian and recently they have performed CD release concerts in Paris , Geneva ,Yerevan, Gyumri, Goris.
She is exploring new and unconventional approaches to creating music that blends elements of folk music with avant-garde techniques. My compositions may feature unconventional instrumentation, complex harmonies, and unusual structures that challenge traditional ideas about what folk music can be.
