Historical context

This program features a selection of compositions by Andrew Joseph that will appear on his forthcoming album entitled "Next to You" - Music for Mandolin and Piano. These contemporary classical works were inspired by romance, relationships, nature, and specific New York locations. A beautiful piece for originally composed for mandolin and piano by L v Beethoven will be performed. Andrew Joseph will also perform his arrangements of Florence Price's haunting "Deserted Garden" and Amy Beach's elegant "Berceuse."
