Original compositions will mostly be played, along with select arrangements of certain favorites. This is the first time this group will come together on a stage, making it a very special occasion! Members of this band have individually worked with Henry Threadgill, Jason Moran, The Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra, and more, performing at many of NYC's top venues.

Historical context

Much of the music that will be played has been influenced heavily by Black American Music of all kinds, especially Free-Jazz. Elements of Modern Jazz, Bebop, Jazz Fusion, and many more sub-genres also have a tremendous impact on our compositions and improvisations.
