Welcome!
Diane and I (Michelle) live in a quiet pet-free, alcohol-free, and tobacco-free house in the View Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. I used to use our living room from my string quartet rehearsals, but the quartet folded a year ago. We missed the beautiful sounds of strings in that room and intend that these events can bring them back— but with much greater skill and training than my quartet brought to the fore.
This event will be our first time hosting. Michelle attended one previous GroupMuse event and raved about it for days. We have expectations that this performance will be every bit as beautiful even if the food isn’t quite as elegant (the previous event had a volunteer chef who presented a gorgeous assortment of hor d’oevres; we don’t have such a person, so we’ll make due with lighter faire.)
Note: we do not have a wheelchair ramp. We can provide assistance getting up the four stairs to our porch and the one stair inside. The rest of the first floor of the house (including the downstairs bathroom) is accessible to wheelchair-bound individuals provided that you don’t need accessibility rails in the bathroom.
What's the music?
Beethover Quartet Op. 18, No. 6 (complete)
Shostakovich String Quartet No. 8 (complete)
