Excited to welcome everyone for my second groupmuse!
Scroggins & Rose is Nashville based mandolinist Tristan Scroggins who frequently plays on the Grand Ol’ Opry and who was awarded the prestigious Instrumentalist of the Year Momentum Award by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2017 and Bay Area violinist Alisa Rose who was grammy nominated for her work with Quartet San Francisco, has served as an ambassador of the State Department with the Real Vocal String Quartet and who teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Scroggins & Rose performs creative contemporary roots music, combining the expression and detail of classical music with the ebullient drive of fiddle music resulting in a sound which is
complex and exciting while also familiar and unpretentious.
What's the music?
We'll play a selection of our original material as well as improvise on fiddle tunes and baroque themes!
