We will be hosting a prodigious Cello and Violin duo by the name of Arkai - drawing their name from the Greek ἀρχαί meaning “source of action”, ARKAI channels the diversity of the world through genre-bending music and sonic exploration. This will truly be a performance to remember as the group will also be featuring a world class percussionist, Jeremy Smith, to liven the already vibrant performance with world rhythms on top of the groups original pieces as well as their classical arrangements and renditions. The first time I saw Arkai perform, I was blown away and knew that I had to give them the opportunity to share their talents with the GroupMuse community. Please try to arrive on time, there will be beer on tap, but do feel free to bring wine, cheese, or any other snacks that you feel will enhance yours and our other guests experience.
What's the music?
We're thrilled to be making our GroupMuse debut, sharing a high-octane program that draws influences from around the world! The setlist contains a few originals, a few arrangements, and a few tunes featuring the unreal percussionist Jeremy Smith. We look forward to sharing an unforgettable evening with you!
