What's the music?
"The Moving Orchestra" is an eclectic mix of artists of all trainings and backgrounds in NYC including classical/jazz musicians and dancers from Juilliard, Barnard/Columbia, New School, and some sound artists based in the city. We originated from various house shows and improvisations through connections in Groupmuse and come together to produce all-improvisation programs.
This is an evening of all improvisation - nothing composed, nothing choreographed. We will go through a series of "games" ranging from total collective improvisation to miniatures with 2 or 3 artists, as well as games utilizing audience suggestions.
Prepare to be immersed in the unexpected.
