Come hear an "oboe quartet" - same as a string quartet with the oboe replacing one of the violins.
Glenda Bates - Oboe
Anthony Blea - Violin
Jacob Hansen Joseph - Viola
Lewis Patzner - Cello
Program -- Classics to Jazzy to Living and Local
Purcell Fantasia 7
Mozart Oboe Quartet
Bates Jazzy piece
Patzner Gulf of Tonkin Resolution parts 1 and 2
Patzner RFK
Britten Phantasy Quartet
There's a chance we'd want to substitute the Mozart for one of the Krommer
quartets. He was a contemporary of Beethoven, so stylistically, not that
different from Mozart.
Glenda has a doctorate in Oboe, Jacob went to Juilliard, Anthony has
degrees from SF Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music, and Lewis has a
degree from Peabody.
What's the music?
Krommer oboe quartet 2
Patzner Gulf on Tonkin resolution parts 1 and 2, and RFK
Bates spacewalk blues
Britten phantasy quartet
