Beethoven’s 7th Symphony is one of the truly miraculous works of the human imagination. While it’s perhaps not quite as iconic as the 5th or the 9th, it has every bit the power, the joy, the sorrow and the manic energy of anything Ludwig ever wrote. It stands as a work at, and indeed defines, the very threshold of the Romantic. Anyway, Beethoven 7’s great, you’ll love it.
And here’s a chance to love it: The Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra is ready to raise the roof at The French Embassy this Thursday. It’s a glorious space of cosmopolitan import and we’re invited in for a Groupmuse Night Out!
The program starts with the wild and dangerous Mission Impossible Variations by Nicolas Mazmanian, which takes the unforgettable theme from the movies and the TV show and explodes/evolves it. It’s followed by Lalo Schifrin’s Mandolin Concerto - a rarity if ever there was one. Ludwig Van B’s 7th Symphony takes up the full second half of the night.
Tickets are typically $30, but we’ve scored you all a stack for a mere $15! Sales close up on Thursday at noon, so there isn’t much time — make your move!
And have a great Night Out!
NOTE: Because of security measures at the Embassy, the concert presenters will need the names of your +1s and everyone will have to bring some form of ID to get in. We’ll be reaching out to get the names of the folks in your party come Thursday.
