Join your neighbors for an evening of classical music then ruin everything by socializing afterwards! With the hope of "great weather" (for DC in October), we'll be having this concert outdoors (so, maybe bring a sweater?)
We're lucky to be hosting three very talented musicians who have individually been playing gigs in and around D.C. and have recently come together as The Hopewood Trio. Comprising Jessica Gottesman (violin), Mike Garrahan (viola), and David Pearl (cello), the Trio will play Franz Schubert's suite in B-flat major, D.471 and other works by well-loved strings composers from different eras. The Hopewood Trio comes to us by way of Groupmuse, a public-benefit organization with the mission of deepening communities through classical music experiences.
Please arrive promptly at 7:00pm so you can get a drink or two in you before we begin. As a courtesy to the musician, we'll ask that people refrain from moving around during the performance.
What's the music?
Dohnanyi trio for violin, viola, and cello; Schubert trio for violin, viola, and cello; Bach Partita No 3 Mov I for solo violin
