This will be our 8th Groupmuse, and we love hosting. This will be Ian Scarfe's 3rd time at our house, and we look forward to him playing our 1923 Steinway Grand piano! He will be performing with violinist Brynn Albanese
The duo will perform works by Mozart, Brahms and Vivaldi, as well as more contemporary tangos and other works by Piazzolla, Kreisler, and Lili Boulanger.
Scarfe lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, and visits Los Angeles a couple times each year as part of his regular touring circuit. Albanese lives in San Luis Obispo, where she is a fixture of many orchestras and groups along California's Central Coast, including the SLO Symphony, the Santa Barbara Symphony, and the gypsy-jazz crossover band "Cafe Musique".
Please bring wine or snacks to share if you like. Guests are invited to arrive at 7:30pm, but come early for a good seat! Please come prepared to support the musicians with a donation, Groupmuse suggests $10 per person, we suggest at least $20 per person, for these professional musicians who are so far from their homes.
