And just like that, it’s back to school, back to work, with the ’19-’20 arts season upon us. However, for the next two weeks, we’re afforded a grace period as Summer doesn’t officially end until September 23rd.
So. For that last weekend of Summer, Groupmuse invites you to one of its favorite homes, the sublime 340-acre historical estate 80 minutes outside of Baltimore and DC known as Claymont Court for a late-in-the-season weekend slumber party of music, earth-care, and true togetherness.
You’re invited to arrive on Friday for Opening Circle. We’ll start Saturday with a meditation and spend all day planting hundreds of fruit trees to shore up a beautiful riverbank and so that future generation may enjoy the shade and sweets.
Then we’ll gather for a groupmuse on Saturday night, featuring the brilliant talents of pianist James Hills and mezzo Lily Kern, as they spin songs of Mozart, Brahms, Gershwin, and so many more.
Then it’s campfire good times, ecstatic dance, and as late a night as our bones will allow. Sunday we’ll have a closing circle and be off to our own worlds, a little more ready for the Fall.
Make the trip! Can’t wait to see you here!
Saturday we'll have lunch provided and dinner is $15. We've got beds-a-plenty and you're welcome to camp as well.
You're welcome to join for the whole weekend, or just the concert, or somewhere in between! If you're planning on spending either night, please enter your info into this form.
