Please join us for an evening of drinks, music and conversation at our cozy apartment in Central Harlem. My partner James and I are excited to host a solo performance by Helen Newby, a fabulous professional cellist and my dear sister. We've gone to a few groupmuses before, but this is our first time hosting, so we're really looking forward to meeting some new friends and fellow music lovers in the area!
Some notes about the event and our space:
- We live on the fifth floor of a walk-up (no elevator). We're very happy to assist folks up the stairs, if need be.
- We have a beautiful cat named Juno, aka June Bug, aka The Bug (and will have allergy meds on hands for anyone in need).
- We'll provide a few drinks and snacks, but we're asking guests to please also BYOB.
- Please don't forget to bring at least $10 (the minimum required contribution) for our hard-working musician!
What's the music?
J.S. Bach - Suite No 6 (excerpts)
Andrew Norman - Sabina
Marcos Balter - memoria
Michael Gordon - Light is Calling
