A little before the Fourth of July/Independence Day holiday -- an all British composers concert! Tenor Morgan Manifacier and Lutenist/Guitarist Daniel Keene will present the music of John Dowland and Benjamin Britten. Check out their websites and join us for a wonderful evening... www.MorganManifacierTenor.com and www.DanielKeene.net
Here are the more mundane details — Gather at 7:00 PM to enjoy the informal company of friends and new acquaintances in my Brooklyn Heights home. The program will begin at about 7:30 PM. I will provide plenty of appetizers. Please bring a beverage (wine, beer, soda) to share and payment to show your appreciation for the musicians. While our home is technically not accessible, the venue is only one flight up.
What's the music?
5 songs by John Dowland for lute and voice.
"Songs from the Chinese" by Benjamin Britten, for guitar and voice.
"Folksongs" by Benjamin Britten, for guitar and voice.
