Featured: Poulenc Golliard ("Chanson Guilliardes") poems with racy rebellious Middle Ages poems. Baritone, Richard Fey & pianist, Britt Day will present a range of composers and composition by Poulenc, Gerald Finzi, Roger Quilter, Rachmaninoff, Frederic Mompou, Rodgers &Hammerstein, Claude-Michel Schönberg, Donizetti and Francesco Tosti. Richard and Britt will briefly discuss the background of their repertoire and Richard will use some costumes. Britt is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory. Richard has received scholarships and attended Indiana University, Yale Summer School of Music & Art, Boris Goldovsky Opera Institute and Simpson College, Indianola, Iowa, home of the Des Moines Metro Opera. SF Chronical review: “A fine voice is a joy, but when coupled with intelligence such as Fey’s, the results are wondrous!” Among Richard’s roles are Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, Figaro in le nozze di Figaro and il barbiere di Seviglia, and Tevya in Fiddle on the Roof.
