Host
We're super excited to be hosting this upcoming GroupMuse and hope to have a relaxing Sunday afternoon concert with lovely people and soothing music. Please be prepared to sit on the floor, and also note, that we are a shoes-off household. I look forward to meeting you!
More information from the musicians:
Maria van der Sloot, Sam Weiser, Carly Scena, and Evan Kahn all received their master’s in Chamber Music from San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and have spent two years barging chamber music performance to different venues in the city. Carly still has one more year in her degree, Sam is the new violinist in the Del Sol String Quartet, and Evan is principal cellist in three different Bay Area orchestras — so the three of them will be in the Bay for a while yet. Maria, however, just won a full-time Violin position in the Calgary Philharmonic, in Canada. We’re going to miss her very much! This concert serves as a way for us to brag our music to you one last time, before she leaves us for good.
We’ll be playing works by Frank Joseph Haydn and Ludwig van Beethoven, as well as a special surprise!
What's the music?
Beethoven: String Quartet in D major, Op. 18 No. 3
Haydn: String Quartet in G major, Op. 77 No. 1
Eryilmaz: Dances of the Yogurt Maker
