Come hear Julia Henderson and her standpartner Paul Swensen play a program for two cellos in a garden at the historic School House building.
I heard Julia play at a previous Groupmuse where I was moved by her musicianship and sound.
Weather permitting, the first set will be in the school garden, an enclosed area in the back of a historic school house in LES. The second set will be in my apartment with high ceilings and large windows.
A few notes on the program which includes two composers I had not heard of:
– The first piece is by 19th Century German composer Friedrich August Kummer.

Here's a performance of a cello duet by Kummer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHHoEy2fGf8
– The second piece is by Kiev-born composer Reinhold Glière (1875-1956)

Here's a recording of the Ten Duets:

There will be other pieces, including selections from sonatas by Telemann.
What's the music?
Kummer, Two Cello Sonata
Gliere, Selections from Ten Duets
Telemann, Selections from Canonic Sonatas
--and more!
