Rare combination of harmonium and harp, played by professionals who know the music intimately. There will be some discussion of the music and the instruments.
What's the music?
Our ensemble pieces include the aria "Tre giorni" by Pergolesi and the Largo from Dvorak's "New World" Symphony.
Michael will play Jim's Mason & Hamlin harmonium as well as the Waters parlor organ:
-Boléro de concert ... Lefébure-Wély
-Offertoire sur "Ave maris stella" ... Guilmant
-Selections from "Tannhäuser" ... Wagner
Brian will play Lefébure-Wély's "Sortie in E-flat" on the two-manual-and-pedal Vocalion reed organ as well as a few solos on his Lyon & Healy concert grand pedal harp including Debussy's "Première arabesque" and Godefroid's Song Without Words "Bois solitaire."
