Spring is more beautiful than I ever remember it being. Please join us on April 20th for a day of bamboo harvesting, and evening of music in the Octagon featuring terrific classical musicians from Shenandoah Conservatory, and then a night of dance, campfires, joy, merriment, and on.
UPDATE: We just got approval to host our first-ever groupmuse in the ballroom of the Mansion this Saturday night!
It’s an 1822 masterpiece of Georgian Architecture, and often regarded as the best preserved of the Washington family mansions. This is going to be rad!
We’ve got a wonderful group of 8 young local musicians from the great Shenandoah Conservatory, ready with some Chopin, a movement of Fauré’s glorious piano quartet, and Ravel’s beloved string quartet.
What's the music?
Fauré - Piano Quartet No. 1 in C minor, Op. 15 - I. Allegro molto moderato
Madison Clark, violin; Laura O'Konski, viola; Ilgin Secerli, cello; Danielle Angeloni, piano
Chopin - Nocturne In E flat, Op. 55, no. 2

-intermission-
